The mobile add-on allows clients to start or complete their tax returns from a phone, tablet, or computer. It connects directly to your online preparation system so that you can finish and e-file the return without needing in-office visits.

This add-on helps you extend your reach and improve client convenience. Clients can:
Start an interview through your branded mobile site.
Upload documents securely.
Submit their data directly into your system for review.
It’s a great tool for virtual preparation workflows or offices that want to provide remote service options.
Accessing the Mobile App Setup
To begin setup, sign in as an Administrator and open Settings → Co-Brand Mobile App.
Step-by-Step Setup
1. Office Details
This will take you to a section of the program where you can begin customizing your mobile app for your office's needs.
The first screen will go over your office information. Make sure to fill out all contact information that doesn't automatically populate. Make sure you DO NOT CHECK "SEND INTERVIEWS TO MAIN OFFICE". If this box is marked, unmark it. If this box is marked, your customer's returns will not go to your Online software.
Tip:
Choose a clear Site Name, this creates your client link. Once set, it cannot be changed.
It will be formatted as "https://YOURSITE.taxwisemobile.com."
2. Upload Images
Under the Images tab, upload your website and app logos (PNG format only).
Recommended sizes:
Website logo: 250×150 px
Mobile app logo: 512×512 px
3. Set Preparation Fees
Enter your office’s fee amounts.
All fees must match your bank application exactly to avoid submission errors.
Tax Preparation Services: These are your fees for preparing taxes. These should match up with the Price sheet fees within the software.
Document Preparation Fee: This fee is not used by either your Online software or any Bank Products. If you wish, you can list a custom Document Preparation Fee on your Price Sheet, then also list it here.
Service Bureau Fee: Check with your software provider for your service bureau fee.
Transmission Fee Paid to Transmitter: This is where the price of doing a bank product return through the bank is listed, check with your software provider for bank product pricing.
Refund Transfer Processing Fee: Here is where both the Tech Fee and Transmission fee from the bank application can be combined and listed.
Other Fee: Any other custom fee you wish to list.
4. Customize the Client Experience
You can personalize the mobile homepage, theme colors, and messaging.
This allows you to display “Start Interview,” “Sign In,” or “Upload Documents” links in a layout that fits your branding.
Launching the Mobile Site
After completing setup:
Click Create Mobile Site or Update Mobile Site.
Once the status shows Provisioned, your site is live.
Share your mobile link via email, text, or your website.
Best Practices
Branding: Keep logo, theme, and colors consistent with your firm’s style.
Testing: Submit a test interview before inviting clients.
Communication: Share clear instructions and your custom link.
Security: Ensure your internal processes protect client data.
